Ahmer Kalam, Creative Director and Brand Ambassador for Instituto Xilonen, has been at the forefront of art and creative direction for over 25 years.

After graduating from Lewis & Clark College, Young & Rubicam hired Ahmer, where he rose quickly to become one of the youngest Creative Directors in the company’s history. Clients included AT&T, Citibank, Dr. Pepper, Computer Associates, and Pella Windows, among many others.

After leaving Young & Rubicam, Ahmer started Howald & Kalam, where his client roster included Intel, Nokia, and GE Financial. In 2008, Howald & Kalam was asked to join McCann Erikson, where Ahmer continued to lead as Executive Creative Director on accounts with Intel, Holiday Inn, and Staples. This was followed by years at McGarryBowen, where Ahmer headed both the JPMorgan Chase and Marriott accounts.

Ahmer’s industry accolades include two Emmy nominations, as well as commendations by The One Show and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Work from his Computer Associates and Pella Windows campaigns reside in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York.

In 2015, Ahmer founded Design Hierarchy, a consulting agency working primarily on behalf of socially conscious causes, NGOs, and foundations. At Design Hierarchy, Ahmer twins his expertise in creative direction and brand management with a commitment to social justice.

Philanthropy Advisor

Alexandra will oversee all finance, fundraising and resource planning functions. She oversees financial reporting, record-keeping and managing incoming and outcoming funds and support the organization to achieve their short-term and long-term plans on a financial basis.
