A Crystal Experience with IXIM and Gem X

Mayra opening the circle with presence, breath, and intention.
On November 4th, IXIM partnered with Gem X, a global private club for jewelry enthusiasts, for an evening centered on presence, intentionality, and the exploration of Crystal energy. The gathering was hosted at PROXYCO, a Lower East Side gallery dedicated to showcasing emerging artists of Latin American descent.

Opening With Art & Intention
The evening began with a brief walkthrough of Lucía Vidales’s exhibition Sedimento, introduced by PROXYCO founders Alex Morris and Laura Saenz. Vidales’s shifting figures and fluid forms served as a reminder that our own inner landscapes function in a similar way. Energy moves, perception shifts, and understanding often arrives in fragments that eventually take shape. The exhibition helped settle the group into a mindset of openness before moving into the Crystal experience.
Opening the Circle: Presence & Connection
Guests then gathered in a circle for introductions and a moment of check-in. This simple practice allowed people to arrive fully and acknowledge where they were mentally and emotionally. It also created a sense of shared presence before moving into deeper work.
Mayra Hernandez (Founder of IXIM) and Julissa Diaz (IX Studio Assistant & Crystologist) then read Lawrence Stoller’s poem Crystals Can Serve Me. The reading was done across from one another, creating a visual and energetic bridge within the room. The poem spoke to Crystals as tools that support awareness, intention, and self-understanding. Its purpose was not to intellectualize the stones, but to shift the group into a receptive state.

Choosing a Crystal and Meeting Its Energy
Each participant selected a Crystal from a curated set chosen for the event. Before any explanation, guests were encouraged to simply sit with their stone and feel its presence. Rather than beginning with explanation or definitions, the group was encouraged to sit with their stone quietly and feel its presence.
Only after this initial moment of observation did Mayra introduce the properties and qualities associated with each Crystal type. People naturally grouped themselves according to the stone they selected, giving everyone a chance to notice how individual choices reflected internal needs or states of mind. The conversation opened into genuine reflection, curiosity, and connection.

Grounding & Integration
The evening anchored with a Black Tourmaline led grounding practice. Mayra guided the group into deeper embodied awareness, allowing scattered energy to settle. The room softened into stillness, offering a sense of stability and calm that carried into the final discussion. Guests shared insights, asked questions, and connected with sincerity and ease.
Closing in Gratitude
The evening reflected what IXIM is devoted to: guiding individuals on a journey of self-discovery, helping them align their energy with purpose, and using the transformative power of high-frequency Crystals to accelerate conscious living. From this place of deeper awareness, authentic connection with others arises effortlessly, because true connection is a natural result of being in consciousness, in touch with who we really are.
We are grateful to Gem X, to Alex and Laura at PROXYCO, and to every participant who shared this experience with us. This collaboration reflected the beauty of intentional community, and IXIM looks forward to continuing to create spaces that support clarity, alignment, and expanded connection.
