Therefore, here at IX, we are choosing to celebrate the thin veil and the stronger connection to the spiritual world, by singing, dancing, and celebrating with our loved ones, ancestors, and the Divine.

Many planets will change sign and direction this month, giving us another beautiful reason to playfully align with their movement and choose a focus of celebration. We are being called to be nimble and joyful while dancing with the cosmos, and to align our steps with the larger planetary dance. 

Our first shift comes on October 2nd when Mercury stations direct in Virgo, ending his retrograde journey that began in Libra. It’s a beautiful day to pivot mentally and graciously begin attending to the revisions and recalibrations illuminated during the retrograde, as we dance through its opposite shadow, which ends on October 17th.

Our next planetary shift occurs on October 8th when Pluto, the planet of energy, power, transformation, and the spirit world, stations direct after months of retrograde travel. We can now energetically pivot with reclaimed executive power and focus and begin to attend to long-term goals, mergers, and executive plans with renewed vitality, the help of our ancestors, and an empowered perspective.

The Full Moon in Aries on October 9th illuminates our relationship to self and any injuries in that relationship that inform our partnerships and love relationships. Great healing is possible this Full Moon as we learn to love, honor, and accept ourselves as we are. The following day, Mercury glides into poised lovely Libra, where he began his retrograde last month, inspiring our most exquisite thinking, beautifully revised ideas, and loving, harmonious communication. This is a perfect time to make needed adjustments within relationships, ideas, and gorgeous art projects.

October 23rd is a big planetary day that begins with Saturn stationing direct in liberating Aquarius, inviting us to pivot out of weighty executive reflection and begin acting on revised business strategies and long-term goals. Later in the day, lovely Venus heads into the deep crystal caves of Scorpio, inviting us to explore the beauty in our depths and deepen with loved ones while sending love, prayers, songs, and blessings across the veil. Finally, later in the day, the radiant Sun joins beautiful Venus in Scorpio, illuminating the path to empowering transformations, deep intimate connections, and brilliant joint ventures for weeks to come.

The very next day, on October 24th, the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Scorpio brings beautiful, powerful changes within ourselves, our relationships, and our visions for mergers and joint ventures. A few days later, on October 28th, Jupiter retrogrades out of Aries and back into Pisces. Here he nurtures our dreams, visions, and conscious connection to Source and loved ones on the other side of the veil. It’s another great day to send prayers and blessings across the veil and to the Heavens. The next day Mercury glides into powerful Scorpio, to inspire our penetrating insight, depth perception, and conscious awareness of energy and the invisible realm. 

On October 30th, Mars, the ruler of Scorpio, stations retrograde in Gemini, motivating an energetic pivot inward and backward after a month of so many planets pivoting outward and forward. Mars will encourage us to actively reflect, revise and make repairs we deem necessary. He will also be inspiring review and reversals of strategies as new revelations come to light to inform our decisions.

The month ends with Halloween, a day of all-out celebration of the ancestors and the spirit world! Light candles, float flowers, send prayers and songs and blessings to those who came before, who made our appearance on this gorgeous Earth possible.
